MBS Isolation Beam™

The Isolation-Beam is at the centre of the MBS system. It is formed when concrete is poured over steel pan decking directly above load bearing walls, eliminating the space between the walls and the floor. The Isolation-Beam provides either a structural or a non-structural member, depending on the wall construction, which acts as a fire barrier and increases vibration damping with the associated benefits of sound separation. The direct result is savings of material, labour and time.
